The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is the world’s largest gardening charity, inspiring and representing a thriving, diverse community of individuals passionate about spreading the joy of gardening. With a proud history dating back over two centuries, the RHS is the nation’s leading voice on horticulture and environmental stewardship. This is a visible and influential position at the heart of one of the UK’s most loved charities – balancing commercial acumen with charitable purpose to ensure the RHS remains financially strong, innovative, and impactful for generations to come.

The successful candidate will bring senior-level financial and commercial experience, sound strategic judgement, and the ability to guide complex organisations through change and growth. You will bring practiced board level leadership, likely as a CEO, CFO, or senior executive with strong financial literacy, who combines rigour with creativity and has a proven ability to chair and influence at the highest level. Collaborative and engaging, you will enjoy working with a diverse Council and executive team, acting as both a trusted and inspirational advisor and critical friend, as well as a strong external advocate for the RHS. Above all, you will share the RHS’s passion for horticulture and commitment to helping gardening make the world a better place.
