From March 2026, Amplify will serve around 12,000 pupils across 22 schools, spanning nursery, primary, secondary and post-16 provision, and working with some of the city’s most diverse communities. Our ambition is clear: to amplify belief, opportunity and citizenship for every learner, every family and every community we serve.

As part of this exciting new chapter, we are seeking two exceptional system leaders to take on the newly created roles of Director of Primary and Director of Secondary. These influential posts sit on the Trust Executive Leadership Team and will shape the educational direction of Amplify at a formative moment in its development.

Working closely with the Directors of Education and the CEO, you will lead strategy, standards and improvement across your phase, ensuring high expectations, inclusive practice and strong outcomes for all pupils. You will support and challenge headteachers, broker effective school improvement, prepare schools for Ofsted, and report to Trust governance on the quality of education and impact of improvement activity. While driving consistency and collaboration at scale, you will also protect and champion the individuality and community identity of each school.

This is a role for an experienced and successful Directors of Education, executive head teachers and leaders with deep expertise across the relevant phase, a strong track record of improving schools, and credibility to influence and inspire leaders. You will bring strategic clarity, excellent communication skills and a commitment to Amplify’s values of being ambitious, reflective and collaborative. Experience of working in challenging contexts and improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils is essential.

Amplify offers a unique opportunity to shape education across a great city, combining system-level influence with a close connection to schools and communities. We are equally ambitious for our staff, investing in professional learning, collaboration and leadership development.
