Cambridge Biomedical Campus Ltd (CBC Ltd) unites the major organisations that make the Cambridge Biomedical Campus one of the world’s leading centres of life sciences and healthcare innovation. Representing a unique ecosystem of NHS hospitals, world-class academic institutions, and pioneering commercial life sciences companies, CBC Ltd provides a collective voice for the Campus, fostering collaboration, driving strategic alignment, and ensuring that the Campus continues to deliver global impact, economic growth, and tangible benefits for patients and local communities.

We are now seeking an outstanding Chair to guide CBC Ltd through an exciting period of growth and transformation. With a major expansion of the Campus underway, the Chair will provide strategic leadership to a high-calibre Board, foster alignment across partners with diverse priorities, and serve as a trusted ambassador to civic, regional and national stakeholders. This is a role at the centre of a world-leading ecosystem—one that sits at the intersection of research excellence, clinical innovation, economic growth and public value.

We are looking for a highly credible, collaborative and values-driven leader with experience bringing organisations together to develop “place”, whether through innovation districts, research campuses, or complex multi-stakeholder partnerships. You will bring strategic insight, exceptional convening ability, and the confidence to engage at the highest levels across the NHS, academia, industry and government. If you are motivated by the opportunity to shape the future of one of the most important biomedical centres globally, we would be delighted to hear from you.
