Group Director of SHEQ

Its extensive bus and coach network spans the UK, including operations in Wales, Scotland, and Ireland under well-known brands such as Scottish Citylink, Megabus, and Irish Citylink. In London, its coach services include Westbus and Falcon Coachworks.

In support of this ambition, ComfortDelGro is looking to appoint two key strategic leadership positions. Both roles will report into the CEO, UK&I Bus and Coach and will be trusted advisors to the business and the Board:
Group Asset Programme Management Director; and
Group Director of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality and Compliance (SHEQ)
Candidates for both appointments will be forward-thinking leaders with exceptional communication skills and a demonstrable ability to inspire and guide teams. They will have a proven record of making tough, effective decisions under pressure, building strong relationships, and engaging stakeholders, whilst navigating a complex, multi-site and service-led operational environment.
Group Director of SHEQ – Reference Code SBVEB
The Group Director of SHEQ will drive a transformational change agenda across the UK & Ireland Bus and Coach Division. This role is critical in shaping a high performing and compliance led safety first culture. Leading the evolution of SHEQ to become a strategic partner to the business, by developing best practice and embedding a culture of operational effectiveness and future ready health, safety and environmental excellence and risk management standards. Candidates will be experienced, senior leaders from similarly complex, regulated and safety critical businesses such as transport, infrastructure or utilities and have the relevant professional qualifications (eg chartered member or fellow of IOSH, IEMA, CQI)
