Connected Places Catapult
Chief Executive Officer
The Connected Places Catapult (CPC) is the UK’s innovation accelerator for cities, transport, and place leadership. Working with public bodies, businesses and infrastructure providers, we catalyse cutting-edge research to deliver innovation, jobs, and growth, while addressing key societal challenges such as reducing carbon emissions. Having secured Innovate UK (IUK) funding for the next 5 years, and with an ambitious growth plan based on rapidly increasing demand, we are entering an exciting phase of the Catapult’s history.
We are seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide the overall strategic leadership, vision, direction, and management of CPC. Working closely with the Board and Chair, you will oversee the operational and financial running of the Catapult and drive our relationships with government and industry. The CEO will ensure our business meets our ambitious plans for the future and is well positioned to support the UK in becoming a world-leader in connecting places.
We are looking for a visionary and empowering leader with an excellent track record in and knowledge of cities and/or the transport sector, alongside their intersection with technology and innovation. The appointed candidate will bring commercial acumen alongside an ability to operate at the nexus of the private and public sectors. The ability to develop and maintain collaborative strategic partnerships with a range of external stakeholders will be key to success.
We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all our activities, and we invite candidates from underrepresented groups to consider applying for this opportunity.
