Grand Union Housing Group is an established provider of social housing in the counties that span Oxford to Cambridge. Since 1994 we’ve been driven to provide affordable and safe homes for people across our region. Today we have 12,000 properties for more than 27,000 people.

We’re an innovative not-for-profit organisation that believes in partnership and collaboration and work with a number of other organisations to deliver both homes and services which benefit the community as a whole.

We’re looking to recruit a new Chair as the current Chair comes to the end of their term. The role of Grand Union Housing Chair represents a rare opportunity to lead a significant organisation with the capacity and vision to transform lives and communities.

Our next Chair will provide strategic leadership to the Board and to the organisation as a whole; working with the Chief Executive to ensure delivery of the vision and values of Grand Union Housing. We are seeking candidates with a track record of operating at a senior level in the public, private or non-profit sector. Experience of the social housing sector is essential. Crucially, candidates will bring strong and inspirational leadership and experience of good governance.

We are looking for individuals with the values to be an authentic and determined champion of our social purpose and demonstrate a genuine passion for the sector. The role is remunerated and the time commitment for the role is around 3 – 4 days a month.
