Man Group Community Housing is redefining the landscape of affordable housing. It invests social impact capital to deliver good quality, sustainable and affordable homes in communities where the need is high.

We are proud that our first registered provider, Habitare, was one of the first for-profit registered providers in the UK. Since its launch in 2021, we’ve pioneered a transformative approach which prioritises positive environmental and social outcomes, and is anchored around three core principles: additionality, real affordability, and community.

With the funding raised through our first Community Housing Fund, Habitare will deliver 1,400 homes. A further open ended fund will see us launch a second registered provider, with the same strong focus on additionality, affordability and community – and  we’ve set ourselves even higher standards on sustainability.

Once built, we lease our homes to housing association partners that are rooted in their communities and have a focus on delivering for customers and community stakeholders. Together with our partners, we’re constantly innovating— for example developing and testing AI-powered systems to improve customer experience, performance and compliance.

We aim for excellence in all we do, and especially in our approach to governance. Our Board brings together a diverse range of values-driven leaders, providing strategic leadership and careful oversight to ensure we deliver on our promises—today and for the future.

It is against this background that we are seeking two new colleagues to serve as Non-Executive Directors across our two registered providers.

In a typical year we have 4 scheduled Board meetings and 5-6 further meetings where the board is brought together to approve transactions, and discuss, debate, and make decisions on other key issues as they emerge. Our 4 scheduled board meetings are usually held in person in Man Group’s offices near Bank,, with other meetings often taking place via video call. Roles are remunerated at £9,000 per annum for each registered provider; Non-Executive Directors will serve on the boards of our first registered provider, Habitare as well as our new registered provider.
