ISEB, the organisation behind Common Entrance and innovative educational assessments used by over 620 schools across 50 countries, is seeking an exceptional Chair to lead its Board from 2026. ISEB has a 120-year heritage of excellence and over 520,000 examination papers taken in recent years, and continues to evolve beyond traditional assessment, pioneering project-based learning through initiatives like the ISEB Project Qualification (iPQ) and shaping the future of educational evaluation.
This remunerated role offers the opportunity to chair an organisation at the forefront of educational innovation, working on average two days per week with a small, dedicated team led by CEO Julia Martin. The successful candidate will bring senior leadership experience, strategic vision, and a genuine interest in education to help guide ISEB’s continued development. The position offers meaningful impact in the independent education sector whilst working with leading schools and educational stakeholders across the UK and internationally.
