The Institute of Risk Management is an internationally renown professional body dedicated to educating and developing enterprise risk management professionals. It plays a key role in shaping actuarial education, setting professional standards and fostering the global enterprise risk management community.

IRM are seeking a strategic and dynamic leader to join in a new role: Commercial Director. In this pivotal role, the Commercial Director will lead IRM’s marketing, communications and business development teams in designing and delivering a strategy that will position the IRM as the global authority and leading public body in enterprise risk management. The Commercial Director will support the IRM’s members, manage relationships with key stakeholders such as universities, across relevant industry organisations, build new corporate partnerships and drive membership and revenue growth across multiple international markets. Overseeing a team of 12 marketing and business development professionals, they will produce new products and services, manage key relationships, shape IRM’s membership and corporate partner strategies and lead employer engagement activities. As a key member of the senior management team and reporting to the CEO, the Commercial Director will be instrumental in delivering IRM’s strategic vision to ensure that it remains at the forefront of the enterprise risk management profession.

The IRM is looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong track record of business development, marketing and commercial leadership. The successful candidate will have experience in leading teams and managing senior stakeholder relationships and a proven ability in designing and executing commercial strategies, developing new products and services and of building new and effective partnerships, to drive revenue growth. They will bring commercial acumen and strategic thinking to deliver growth and innovation, along with a passion for presenting value to professional communities and influencing industry conversations.
