The longest established drama school in UK, LAMDA is a world-leading specialist conservatoire based in the heart of London. They offer exceptional vocational training to actors, stage managers, technicians, directors and designers. The 2023 National Student Survey ranks LAMDA as the top UK Drama School for student satisfaction and LAMDA’s alumni represent many of the most internationally recognised names in entertainment; these include Benedict Cumberbatch, David Oyelowo, Leah Harvey, Jim Broadbent, Harriet Walter, Dominic Cooper, Ruth Wilson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jemma Redgrave, Brian Cox, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mischief Theatre Company and many more.

LAMDA are seeking three Trustees to help shape the future of one of the greatest drama training conservatoires in the world. They are looking for individuals to support them in their mission to continue to be at the leading edge of training of the most talented, creative and outstanding young actors, technicians and directors. This is a very exciting time for LAMDA as they embark on their new 2030 strategy founded on the values of inclusivity, collaboration and compassion.

Candidates will be senior leaders and be able to contribute at Board level with confidence and credibility, with a clear understanding of change management, both cultural change and engagement. Strong inter-personal, networking and relationship building abilities will be important. The Board are particularly interested in people bringing experience in the following areas:

• Higher Education
• Intellectual Property
• Development

The successful candidates will bring great personal dynamism, strong leadership skills, the ability to win support for a cause from a wide range of stakeholders and a clear understanding of and passion for LAMDA’s purpose and mission.
