Mission Aviation Fellowship
Chief Financial Officer
Use your skills as a Chief Financial Officer to help save lives, deliver essential supplies and bring education to marginalised people in some of the world’s most remote communities.
Mission Aviation Fellowship’s next CFO will join at a pivotal stage for our organisation as we pursue an ambitious goal to double our impact for isolated people across Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
Our new CFO will play a key role in envisioning and realising a modern, unified finance function that supports our mission and enables that growth. You will have the opportunity to build something truly transformational, knowing that your actions will bring help, hope and healing to people who lack access to vital services.
Since 1945, Mission Aviation Fellowship has established itself as a transformational Christian charity that serves isolated people in some of the world’s most remote areas. Today, MAF operates as a $57 million global organisation providing subsidised aviation services where surface travel is impossible or perilous due to geographical barriers, conflict, and dangerous overland conditions. Every 5.7 minutes a MAF aircraft takes off or lands somewhere in the world. Through our flights, we enable hundreds of partner organisations to bring help, hope, and healing to communities in spiritual and physical need.
You will bring together, inspire and develop our dispersed finance teams, creating world-class financial systems and processes that will serve MAF’s mission for decades to come.
As one of the first senior leaders appointed to our newly integrated organisation, our CFO will be a prominent strategic leader working closely with the Board, CEO and senior colleagues to shape financial strategy and ensure robust resource stewardship.
We are seeking a faithful and inspiring Christian leader who shares our heart for the unreached and understands complex, global multi-national organisations. The role requires someone with a track record of leading financial transformation and systems integration, building FP&A functions and implementing decision-support tools. The successful candidate will have outstanding communication and stakeholder management capabilities to work across MAF and its stakeholder community, as it realises its vision for integration and impact. We deeply value diversity and encourage applications from Christians of all backgrounds who are passionate about serving isolated communities.
The successful candidate may be based in a range of international locations but will spend around one week each month in our Head Office, initially in the UK (in Ashford, Kent).
