Nyetimber
Group HR Director
Nyetimber Wines and Spirits Group, home to England’s most celebrated sparkling wine and the newly integrated Lakes Distillery, is entering an exciting period of growth and evolution. As we continue to build on our position as a leader in the luxury drinks market, we are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Group HR Director to lead our people strategy and shape a culture that reflects our values, ambitions, and reputation for excellence.
This is a pivotal role, offering a rare opportunity to influence the future direction of a dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation. The Group HR Director will work closely with the CEO and COO, playing a central role in aligning our people, structures, and capabilities with the strategic goals of the business. Balancing big-picture vision with hands-on execution, the successful candidate will lead a confident and solutions-focused HR function, responsible for all aspects of people and culture across the Group. The remit of the role includes the full spectrum of human resources leadership, encompassing talent acquisition, organisational design, leadership development, employee engagement, performance management, and cultural transformation. A particularly important focus will be the ongoing integration of The Lakes Distillery into the broader Nyetimber Group, ensuring consistency and alignment across HR systems, policies, processes, and values. The Group HR Director will be instrumental in embedding a cohesive culture across both organisations, while supporting operational efficiency and business continuity during this transitional phase.
We are looking for a strategic and commercially-minded HR leader with significant experience at an executive level. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-impact people strategies in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally within consumer-facing, luxury, or brand-led sectors. They will bring both emotional intelligence and operational expertise, and will be comfortable advising at board level while also getting involved in day-to-day problem-solving when required.
The successful candidate will be someone who understands how to drive cultural change, foster engagement, and support the growth of a high-performance organisation. They will have a deep understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice, and will know how to translate these into clear, pragmatic solutions that support the wider business. With excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, they will act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, while ensuring the HR function remains agile, innovative, and fit for purpose.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s most admired drinks brands at a defining moment in its journey. With ambitious plans for the future, Nyetimber is looking for a Group HR Director who is ready to make a lasting impact—shaping our people strategy, building a world-class working environment, and ensuring that our culture continues to reflect the excellence and innovation at the heart of everything we do.
