Ofcom
Board Representative for Scotland
Ofcom is the UK’s independent regulator for the communications services that we use and rely on each day. We ensure that people and businesses across the UK get the best from their broadband, mobile, TV, radio and postal services. Our role is to make sure these services work well for everyone – wherever they live and whatever their circumstances.
The Scottish Government is working with Ofcom to appoint a Board Representative for Scotland – a non-executive role with significant influence over Ofcom’s direction and decision-making. This is an opportunity to help shape Ofcom’s strategy and ensure that the interests of Scottish citizens, consumers and businesses are clearly reflected at the highest levels.
Candidates will bring a deep understanding of Scotland’s political, economic and cultural landscape, alongside sound judgement and a strong commitment to public service. You will need to demonstrate the ability to contribute to strategic debate and good governance with a strong understanding across the sectors Ofcom regulates. Experience in senior roles across sectors such as business, government, media, academia or civil society will be beneficial.
The Scottish Government and Ofcom are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organisation. We welcome applications from across all communities and regions of Scotland.
