ScreenSkills is looking for a new CEO.

ScreenSkills is the skills body for the UK screen industries and plays a leadership role in aligning industry to deliver on skills across the UK. An independent charity, industry funded and business-led, it helps to train people at every career stage – regardless of their background or prior educational achievement – who make UK content which everyone loves and trusts.

The UK screen industries – animation, children’s, film, games, high-end television, unscripted and visual effects (VFX) – are a great British success story. The sector makes a significant economic and cultural contribution at both a national and regional level and also powers positive social change and mobility. Globally competitive, the screen industries are a major soft power asset for the UK, providing a platform for our best creative talent to be seen around the world.

The Board of Directors and Trustees are now seeking a new Chief Executive. Working closely with the Board, the CEO will build on the skills agenda, working with industry and a multiplicity of stakeholders. They will lead on developing and implementing a long-term industry skills strategy to ensure the UK’s current and future global success. The successful candidate will need the ability to convene and influence multiple stakeholders to improve collective action and impact. This will require aligning with employers, partners, unions and agencies enthusing them with a clear vision of how this will be achieved. They must be an outstanding communicator, with strong people skills, adaptable, resilient, and able to demonstrate appropriate governance, capturing the views and requirements across the sector and delivering appropriate rigour and transparency.

This is an exceptional and exciting opportunity for the right individual to lead and shape the skills agenda on behalf of the sector whilst providing strategic leadership, and operational and financial management of ScreenSkills.
