Unified Early Childhood Campaign
Chair
The Unified Early Childhood Campaign is a pioneering initiative led by a collective of philanthropic funders, charities, and think tanks dedicated to transforming national awareness and prioritisation of early childhood development in the UK. We believe that a child’s earliest years lay the foundation for a future where everyone can thrive irrespective of their background—benefitting the whole nation.
We are seeking an inaugural Chair to lead this initiative, driving a strategic, coordinated approach to advocacy. By drawing on successful movement-building strategies including in mental health, climate change, and marriage equality, we aim to ‘change the story’ around early childhood—aligning it with economic prosperity and societal wellbeing.
As Chair, you will provide strategic leadership for the initiative, helping shape the campaign’s vision. You will help to champion the campaign with funders, charities, and policymakers around a shared, compelling narrative for early childhood as a national priority, influencing public discourse and policy.
We are looking for a respected leader with experience in convening influential voices to drive social impact. You will bring strong governance credentials and potentially experience in area(s) of expertise including communications, policy, and/or philanthropy and social investment. You will be skilled in convening diverse stakeholders, driving collective action in relation to early childhood development as a catalyst for a fairer, more prosperous society. This is a rare opportunity to chair a transformative initiative at a pivotal moment for children and families across the UK.
