The Faculty of Life Sciences is the largest faculty within the University of Bradford and is comprised of four Schools and their associated research and knowledge exchange centres. We are fully engaged in cutting-edge research and seek to apply the knowledge we generate through our extensive links with industry, business and the professions. The majority of our courses are accredited by external bodies and lead to rewarding and highly-regarded careers. Our students experience innovative approaches to teaching and learning in modern and well-equipped laboratories and have access to some of the most advanced technology-enhanced learning opportunities in the country.

We now seek to appoint a new Dean for the Faculty of Life Sciences. As a member of the Executive Board, you will be expected to contribute to the broader strategic direction of the institution and work well with colleagues across the University to support us to achieve our key objectives in line with our values. You will provide strategic, disciplinary and wider leadership and vision for the Faculty and its schools and for leading and promoting cross University working. A proven leader, you will possess the academic credibility and standing to lead the breadth of disciplines and activity in the Faculty and you will direct the Faculty’s activities, driving performance to achieve change.
