Warminster School
Head
Warminster School is an all-through day and boarding school, educating over 420 pupils aged 2 to 18. The School prides itself on being a school where everyone can thrive and find something to be passionate about. It is also rare in being a small community school where the IB Diploma Programme and IB Career-related Programme are offered, alongside A Levels and CTECHs.
Warminster’s Governing Body is seeking to appoint its next Head to succeed Matt Williams, on his appointment to Seaford College, after what will be seven years of dedicated leadership to the School. They are looking to appoint someone who is an energetic, dynamic and community minded leader, who will build on the successes to date, including the excellent academic results in 2025.
The next stage of evolution for the School will include the exciting project of moving the Prep School across to the Senior School site. There will be further developments to the academic provision of the School and the Sixth Form offering for the Head to deliver on, whilst maintaining and building on the strong sense of community and ensuring an excellent all-round education.
Marketing and profile raising will be critical for success, both in the UK and overseas. The Head will also be committed to ensuring the community is one in which the pupils are happy, stretched and exposed to a range of academic and co-curricular activities.
Applications are welcomed from individuals with obvious leadership capabilities, who can delegate, consult, inspire and motivate others. The School’s ethos is grounded and down to earth, and the Head will be someone who embodies these attributes. They will thrive in a close-knit community, and will be someone who naturally values the contribution of all members of a school community. Warminster is a School where the Head needs to be hands on, resilient, creative and visible. Governors are looking for candidates who will be relentless in their quest for ensuring Warminster continues to enjoy a positive reputation in its market.

Warminster School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all its staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We aim to provide a warm and secure environment, with an open and frank atmosphere, in which pupils can feel supported.
The fundamental right to be protected from harm is an essential part of our pastoral responsibility.
That safeguarding responsibility necessitates our having a clear child protection policy and procedures, and means that we many also need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a pupil’s welfare.
The School prides itself on being a school where everyone can thrive and find something to be passionate about.
