West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust
Executive Director of Strategy and Transformation
West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is a highly successful, award-winning trust providing acute and community services to a population of around 280,000 people. We are one of the largest employers in the area and provide acute hospital services from our 430-bed West Suffolk Hospital, outpatient services, and community services for the residents of west Suffolk as part of partnership of providers including Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust, Norfolk Community Healthcare NHS Trust, and Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. We also train the doctors of the future and provide the clinical base for the Cambridge Graduate Medical course.
Our vision is to pursue quality and the safest care for our community; we are driven by our values of Fairness, Inclusivity, Respect, Safety and Teamwork. We aim to be one of the safest and most joined-up healthcare systems in England, working in more integrated ways with those that provide health and social care in our community. This is central to our strategy and underlines the importance of the work of our first Executive Director of Strategy and Transformation.
Reporting to the CEO, Dr Ewen Cameron, this person will lead the development and implementation of the Trust’s transformation, working with the wider executive team to build a culture of continuous improvement through ensuring an innovative approach to meeting patient need. This is an exciting time to join the Trust given ongoing work on our £1bn hospital build which gives the Trust the opportunity to shape how care will be delivered over the next 50 years. The Executive Director of Strategy and Transformation will play a leading role in this as well as wider work with our partners across Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board to maximise the delivery of joined up, high-quality health and care. The opportunity to really transform our approach to care, working with other health, social care, independent and voluntary sector partners is so important, and this role will be at the heart of leading that transformational change.
If you have a track record in delivering service innovation and transformation, ideally with experience and/or understanding of working across the patient pathway, working at scale, delivering high quality performance and strategic partnership working, and have what it takes to make a difference for our people and the communities West Suffolk serves; we would love to hear from you.
