Supporting our communities

Coronavirus – update from our Chair

26 March 2020

At what is a period of unprecedented uncertainty and disruption to our personal and working lives, we want to let you know the steps we are taking here at Saxton Bampfylde to support our partner colleagues, friends and clients through these testing and rapidly changing times.

We have been very closely following the latest advice of the UK Government and PHE and are taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of our staff, clients and candidates, which remains our absolute priority. As of Monday 23 March, our London and Edinburgh offices will be remain closed and from now on, all of our internal and external meetings will take place remotely. Having invested heavily last year in our technology infrastructure and video-conferencing software, we are delighted that we have seamlessly transitioned to remote working across the entire firm. In addition, all our paperwork is exchanged through a secure and password protected portal. For those individuals with accessibility requirements, we will work closely with you to accommodate your needs surrounding our processes.

And while we may not be face-to-face, we continue to deliver the same outstanding level of client and candidate care. As a firm with national and global reach, we are very familiar with interviewing candidates, conducting psychological assessments and handling panel interviews over video, and while for many clients (and candidates) the prospect of conducting final interviews remotely is an unfamiliar and disconcerting one, we are here to support and advise you through that process. Our in-house Psychologists also remain well set up to provide coaching and team development virtually during such testing times.

Now, more than ever, is a time to stay close to one another and we are extremely conscious of the pressure leaders are under currently. We have been finding new ways of staying connected: in the coming weeks we are planning to host a range of webinars and forums to keep in touch with our clients and candidates, and internally, we are incredibly thankful to our partners for keeping the community spirit of our firm going through virtual meet-ups and events.

We continue to be on hand to answer all queries so please do not hesitate to reach out to us, and we wish everyone well during these turbulent times.

Warm regards,

Stephen Bampfylde
