Chief Executive

Job Reference XADAQA
Closing Date Friday 01 Mar 2019

Location: London

Salary: competitive

Closing Date: Friday 1st March

We strive for a just world that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

Every girl and boy has the right to be healthy, educated, protected, valued and respected in their own community and beyond. Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, Plan International UK tackles the root causes of gender inequality and child poverty. We’ve been building powerful partnerships for over 80 years, and are active in more than 70 countries, making sure children in some of the poorest communities are safe and protected from violence. We provide access to essential services, including education, healthcare, clean water and toilets. And we’re there when disasters happen, providing emergency relief and supporting communities to recover, rebuild and develop their resilience.

As our Chief Executive retires in June 2019, there is now the opportunity for another outstanding leader to build on our successes and steer Plan International UK to new heights, in its contribution to an ambitious global strategy, as part of the Plan International family.

The ideal candidate will be a values driven, visionary leader with the energy and creativity to maximise Plan International UK’s impact with influencers, government and public campaigning. You will be able to inspire and motivate our diverse teams, nurture our positive culture, build strong partnerships and deliver outstanding operational results in a complex stakeholder context. You will also bring exceptional communication and ambassadorial skills and will be an outstanding networker, communicator and influencer, with high integrity and credibility.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to make a positive and lasting effect on the lives of millions of children. If you share our vision and values, and you have the exceptional leadership skills needed to help us carry out our mission, we would love to hear from you.
