We welcome over 600,000 visitors to Chatsworth and a similar number to Bolton Abbey. Many visitors make use of the five hotels on the estates and other outlets including our retail outlets, food and beverage offers and the Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop. The Group Director of Brand & Marketing is a new role that is intended to give oversight, leadership and cohesion to the various current diverse and disparate activities of the Group. Currently, our marketing activities are mostly carried out at business unit level but this role will bring them together with the ambition of moving to a single customer view, where that is appropriate. The group is complex and multi-faceted, but we need to ensure that this complexity isn’t passed onto our customers. Reporting directly to the CEO, this person will also work closely with the Devonshire family to define how the brand architecture should best represent them, and the values that they and their businesses stand for, but with a significant focus on delivering on the group’s growth ambitions.
Candidates must bring experience of leading a marketing function in a multi-disciplinary environment. Experience of driving change and defining and developing a successful brand strategy will be essential, as well as experience of the digital marketing landscape. To succeed in this role, you will need to think creatively, embrace the creativity of others and be able to forge effective working relationships with peers across the group.
