Closing Date Monday 08 Mar 2021

Can you deliver “Remarkable Education:
Your Choices. Your Passions. Your Future”
our strategy that will be our guiding light for the next five years?

At AET, our mission is pure and simple: to enable our pupils to lead Remarkable Lives. This is the golden thread that binds us all together – the reason that despite our very different paths to AET, we are all part of one family. AET is one of the largest, and most inclusive, academy trusts in the country. It is a family of 58 primary, secondary and special schools. The organisation has undergone a significant transformation over the last three years and is now looking for an outstanding Chief Executive to build on this success and accelerate our journey towards excellence.
Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive has responsibility for the performance of the Trust and its academies, both in terms of its educational and financial performance. S/he will develop and sustain relationships with a range of stakeholders including school Headteachers as well as the Department for Education, and OFSTED. Working closely with the Board and senior leadership team, the next Chief Executive will implement our new vision and strategy to 2025 centred around academic excellence and Remarkable Pathways and Remarkable Careers.
Candidates must have a genuine interest and passion for improving the life chances of children and young people through education. A track record of successful leadership ideally within a large corporate environment managing senior professionals will be essential. Candidates should also bring experience of creating a high-performance culture in decentralised operations across multiple locations. This role represents the opportunity to lead an organisation that has a life-changing impact on tens of thousands of young people.
