Closing Date Monday 03 Dec 2018

ACS International Schools is a leading provider of high quality international education, operating schools (day and boarding) that enrol circa 3,500 students between the ages of 3 to 18 from around the world at four campuses in the UK and Qatar.

After 50 years as a successful commercial entity, ACS began converting into a charity in October 2017, with confirmation by the Charities Commission in 2018. This will open up further prospects for the growth and development of our schools, and additional opportunities to broaden the public benefit.

Our internationally renowned IB Diploma and outstanding facilities create an exceptional working environment, where the world comes to teach, learn, and grow as valued individuals.
We believe our vision ‘Through learning, inspire all to make a difference’ applies as much to us as to our students. It is a vision that empowers and motivates us to deliver our best. As a group of leading international schools, our dedication to student success is matched only by our professional desire to attract, retain and develop staff of the highest standard.

ACS is seeking an outstanding HR Director to succeed the current incumbent in the role. We are looking for an experienced HR Director currently working in a complex high-performing organisation. International experience and a previous senior role in the education sector are both desirable but not essential. Our ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader who can point to a demonstrable track record of success in developing and implementing best in class HR strategies. As well as being an able strategist and change manager, an ability and willingness to get into the detail and a completer/finisher mind set are essential.

We are looking for someone who can take our people strategy forward, helping us to create an outstanding culture across ACS whilst at the same time developing the HR function itself. Other key tasks will include: ensuring the development of senior leaders in the organisation, including effective succession and talent planning; developing our reward and benefit arrangements; and ensuring that our employment contracts are of an exceptional quality.
