Airport Coordination Limited

Independent Non-Executive Director

Job Reference QAAAID
Closing Date Tuesday 04 Oct 2022

Airport Coordination Limited (ACL) is the world’s leading independent airport coordination organisation. As the trusted partner and coordinator of choice for 72 airports worldwide, it coordinates over 4 million flights carrying over 600 million passengers in a normal year. Recent years has been a time of enormous challenge and change in the industry, and the ACL team have successfully dealt with a significantly increased workload – providing guidance on and managing capacity restrictions, terminal moves and significant changes to practices requiring manual handling and management. It is actively engaged in industry and Government thinking on measures to reduce risk, and on planning for future scenarios and policies.

ACL is looking for an independent Non-Executive Director to broaden the current board team through the addition of contrasting and complementary skills and experience. The role of the Non-Executive Director is to provide both support and challenge to the CEO and their team, assist in the development of the organisation strategy, ensuring this is implemented via effective policies and plans, whilst ensuring effective risk management and control processes are in place.

Candidates will have experience of operating at a strategic level. They will also have aviation industry experience.  As this is an independent Non-Executive Directorship, candidates cannot hold current executive roles in the aviation sector, however, we are interested in candidates who have done so in the past.  ACL are keen to incorporate a diversity of skill, background and experience and as such would welcome expressions of interest from candidates in executive roles (including people for whom this would be their first Non-Executive Director position) and portfolio careers, from both the commercial and public sectors.
