Salary: Attractive

Our vision is a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. A world without heartbreak.

British Heart Foundation is the leading independent funder of research into heart and circulatory diseases, and the largest charity retailer in the UK. Our lifesaving work is advanced by investment in medical research – we have over £410 million of BHF-funded research underway, with an aspiration to invest £1 billion in research over the next ten years.

BHF has an exciting opportunity for an exceptional leader to join as our new Director of Technology Operations – accountable for our overall technology operations services across all eight offices, over 740 shops and stores, and over 4,000 staff.  You will be a key contributor to our forward-thinking Technology strategy, acting as a senior technology ambassador to and for the BHF.

The successful candidate will bring strategic leadership credentials both in technology operations and in leading, and developing, a high-performing team. You will have a track record in developing and delivering technology strategy within a service delivery organisation of scale and complexity. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be able to demonstrate and communicate the impact of the work of the Technology Operations team across the charity. As part of our commitment to being an inclusive employer, we welcome applications from individuals from all backgrounds.

BHF values and respects every individual’s unique contribution, celebrate diversity, and make inclusion part of what we do every day.

BHF’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy, Igniting Change, along with an internal EDI group, Kaleidoscope, and a growing number of employee network groups (our Affinity Groups), help us create an environment where all our colleagues and volunteers can succeed.
