CoppaFeel! is the first breast cancer charity in the UK to solely create awareness amongst young people, with the aim of instilling the knowledge and tools they need to get to know their bodies. We want everyone to have the best possible chance of surviving breast cancer. We want to live in a world where all breast cancers are diagnosed at the earliest stage possible, at which treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher.
Our organisation is growing rapidly, our financial position remains strong, and we are a dynamic, innovative team with a huge ambition to save lives. We are now looking for new Trustees to join our Board, to help us achieve our ambition sooner. This is a hugely rewarding and exciting opportunity to play your part in improving breast cancer outcomes and developing innovative ideas, activities and policy that will help us to achieve our goals.
We are particularly interested in the following skillsets:
- An experienced Finance Director with Board experience and strong understanding of charity finance (ideally a qualified accountant, with the capacity to chair our Finance Committee).
- A clinician / nurse or healthcare professional who can demonstrate an interest or specialism in improving early detection of cancer for young people; ideally an oncologist who understands breast cancer pathways.
- Experience in reaching young people at scale through marketing, advertising, communications and digital engagement in fast-paced, innovative environments.
Across all skillsets, we are looking for candidates with a passion for empowering young people to be proactive about their health. We are looking for strong communicators, those happy working in a charity that is changing and growing and those who will play an active role on the Board and provide the right support to our CEO and wider team.
