Eltham College is a thriving independent day school for boys aged 7 to 18, with a co-educational sixth form. The Bursar has overall responsibility for all aspects of the non-academic operations of the school, reporting directly to the Headmaster. As part of the school’s senior leadership team, the Bursar will take a significant role in supporting the delivery of the College’s strategic vision. He/she will be in a position to help the school maximise its wide array of assets, within an educational context, to ensure the school enjoys an outstanding future.
The successful candidate will be a resilient, pragmatic, motivated leader with a diplomatic and persuasive style. They will be highly intelligent and able to motivate their teams and build strong relationships across the school community. Expected to be a visible and engaged presence, they will be a socially minded person with a deep empathy for each individual and the values and ethos of the school as a whole. Experience working in a school environment and a professional qualification are desirable. A degree qualification and a proven track record of successful delivery at both the strategic and operational level are a must. The school seeks an ambitious candidate who will make a real impact on the development of the College.
