Closing Date Monday 12 Nov 2018

Every day brings new challenges at the globally renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), one of the world’s top three children’s research hospitals. Every day, 618 seriously ill children from across the UK arrive for life-changing treatments. Every day, young lives hang in the balance as patients, families and staff battle the most complex illnesses. And every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children – and change the world.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential. Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) funds ground-breaking research, advanced equipment, child and family support services, and the rebuilding and refurbishment of wards and medical facilities.

Having last year celebrated our highest ever fundraising total of £99.4 million to support Great Ormond Street Hospital’s ground-breaking work, GOSH Charity now seeks to appoint an exceptional Chief Executive to succeed Tim Johnson, following ten years of outstanding leadership.

We are looking for a highly experienced, strategic and brave leader who will inspire and motivate our staff, volunteers and donors and bring a passion for continuous improvement and innovation. The successful candidate will bring significant senior leadership and management experience to this position, at CEO or Senior Director level, and will have the confidence and conviction to work with a high calibre executive team and board of trustees, leading GOSH Charity through the next phase of its development. You will be a compelling communicator and a highly collaborative team-player with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels. A commercial mindset with an empathy for operating effectively in a non-profit organisation will be essential.

If you bring a successful track record in organisational leadership and share our commitment to giving young patients the best chance to fulfil their potential, we would love to hear from you.
