Modern slavery is one of the greatest social injustices of our times. Today, over 40 million people around the world are suffering forced labour, sexual exploitation, domestic servitude and forced marriage. With over $150 billion made each year from forced labour, human trafficking is both a domestic and an international issue, with exploitation present in countries across the world.
Hope for Justice’s mission is to bring an end to modern slavery by preventing exploitation, rescuing victims, restoring lives, and reforming society. In just over 12 years we have grown into a global charity of over 300 dedicated staff, working across 5 continents, 10 countries and 32 locations.
We have an ambitious ten year strategy in terms of impact and growth and are now seeking an International Programme Director to join our global leadership team and take responsibility for the overall leadership of our Prevent, Rescue, Restore and Reform strategy and the execution of Hope for Justice’s programmes.
Candidates will bring a passion for our work, allied to a track record of successful, senior executive international programmatic leadership at a relevant organisation of equivalent or greater scale, including the management of diverse, international multi-disciplinary teams. You will have a background of significant accomplishment in complex programmatic, operational, financial and people management in an international development, human rights, social justice or relatable context and have a strong focus on strategy setting, planning and execution. You will preferably bring experience of living, working and managing operations in the Global South and a commitment to a positive, collaborative, motivated and performance driven culture that will help us maximise our impact.
