Closing Date Monday 10 Oct 2022

At Livability, every day we seek to improve the quality of life for children, young people and adults with disabilities, so they can live a life that adds up for them.

What makes life livable is never down to just one thing – it’s the sum of many things. From friendship to fun; from companionship to community; from a great chat to a challenge overcome – it all adds up to Livability. Through a wide range of disability care, special education, and rehabilitation services, we promote inclusion and wellbeing for all. Together, we work to see people take part, contribute and be valued. We put the elements in place that all add up to connected lives.

Inspired by the Christian faith, our vision is of a barrier-free society where all people can flourish and enjoy full participation. We strive to grow community connections that help people thrive and we tackle barriers that impact disabled people, to enable better participation for all.

We are now looking for a new Company Secretary to provide expertise on governance, statutory frameworks and data compliance at the highest level to our Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive and Executive Directors. The post holder will lead the charity’s risk management systems and serve as Livability’s Company Secretary, Corporate Governance Lead, Data Protection Officer and be capable of leading on legal matters. We are ideally looking for a leader who is legally qualified or a Chartered Company Secretary, who brings significant knowledge and understanding of the relevant law/regulation associated with the charitable, social care and/or education sectors.

In line with our values and Christian ethos, you will be open, enabling, inclusive and courageous – bringing ambition and the ability to deliver real difference to children, young people and adults across the UK.

Reflecting the diverse communities we work with and support, we actively and warmly encourage applications from a broad and deep range of backgrounds and experiences.
