Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales

Chief Executive Officer

Job Reference XBKJA
Closing Date Wednesday 24 Jan 2024

While the UK is undoubtedly facing complex issues, increasing inequity, and injustice, this country is also home to a myriad of amazing community organisations, providing support and advice to those most in need.

For nearly 40 years, the Lloyds Bank Foundation has worked in partnership with small and local charities,

people and communities – supporting them to change lives and work towards a more just and

compassionate society. Last year alone, we supported almost 800 charities across all of England and Wales.

Our current Chief Executive will retire in 2024, creating an outstanding opportunity for our next leader to help shape the Foundation’s future strategy, delivery, and impact. Our new Chief Executive will provide strategic leadership for the Foundation, working effectively with the Chair and Board of Trustees, Lloyds Banking Group, the leadership team and other stakeholders. You will lead an innovative Foundation that is more than just a grant maker, balancing direct support for small and local charities, work within communities, and influencing local and national policy and practice.

We are looking for a values and results-oriented strategic leader with demonstrable and extensive executive leadership experience and board level engagement, with a clear commitment to social justice. You will have experience of developing and delivering strategy and of significant operational and financial management, for a complex, multi-faceted organisation. You will also bring excellent external engagement, convening, partnership, diplomatic and ambassadorial skills, and evidence of successfully communicating and

advocating with a range of stakeholders and the media, as well as a track record of creating safe and inclusive cultures and have embedded equity, diversity and inclusion across their organisation. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We therefore encourage applications from a diverse range of candidates.
