Mountain Education Group is an established premium school provider in China that already operates a highly successful bilingual school in Shanghai and has ambitious plans for further expansion.

Mountain Kingston Bilingual School, for up to 2,300 students, is the first fruit of this collaboration. It offers the Chinese national curriculum in Years 1-9, a Kindergarten/ Early Years programme that draws on both British and Chinese traditions, and IGCSE and A Level in the High School. It caters for both day and weekly boarding students.

Above all, the International Principal will be responsible for developing an international High School that can be an authentic expression of Kingston Grammar School in the Chinese context. The Principal will require tenacity, resilience, creativity, dynamism and drive, plus a commitment to engaging with every aspect of what makes a school function well.

The role will require a leader who either has leadership experience in China or can demonstrate the flexibility of thinking, open-mindedness and curiosity that is necessary to succeed in this fast-paced and frequently changing environment. The successful candidate will be educated to university level with a degree from a leading university, is very likely to have graduate/postgraduate qualifications, and should have a teaching qualification and a strong record of having participated in continuing professional development.
