Focused on providing world-leading innovative leadership in the planning and design of the digitisation of health and care services, NHS Digital delivers the key digital, data and technology needs of the health and care system.
The Deputy Chief Clinical Officer will have a crucial leadership role in developing NHS Digital’s clinical strategies and services, providing professional leadership across disciplines and expert, innovative advice to the Chief Executive and Board in support of the organisation’s overall strategy, vision and values. A member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Deputy Chief Clinical Officer will deputise for the Chief Medical Officer internally and externally, acting as a highly credible and national clinical ambassador for the organisation.
You will have an outstanding reputation as a clinical leader with a proven track record of managing clinical services and the ability to deliver an effective, outcome-focused clinical governance strategy across NHS Digital. Accomplished in influencing and engaging stakeholders, you will build positive relationships inside the organisation and externally, bringing an understanding of some of the national and regional ecosystems through which health and care is delivered. You will also have a passion for digitisation of health and care services, ideally bringing experience of clinical informatics and how they relate to health and care provision. Crucially, you will currently be a registered and regulated senior health or social care professional.
