Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (QVH) is a specialist hospital providing life-changing reconstructive surgery, burns care and rehabilitation services for people who have been damaged or disfigured through accidents or disease across the south of England. Following a decision not to progress with a potential merger with a neighbouring Trust, the Board is planning next steps with staff and system partners on how we best secure the future of the hospital and our specialist services. In this context, we are looking for two Non-Executive Directors to join the Board and take on the exciting opportunity of helping to shape our future strategy.

Our Non-Executive Directors will work alongside other members of the Board of Directors to set the strategy and direction of the Trust and monitor the delivery of those plans. The Board is responsible for shaping a healthy culture, one that supports staff, promotes compassionate and outstanding care for patients, and enables innovations and improvements.

We are looking for individuals who will bring Board-level or senior experience in a significant-sized organisation, with experience of working with complex systems and strategic partnerships. You will have the ability to question, probe and challenge, with excellent communication and team-working skills. In line with our constitution, you will need to live in Kent, Surrey, Sussex or the London Boroughs of Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton, Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark and Wandsworth.
