Sedex

Chief Executive

Job Reference HARANI
Closing Date Wednesday 08 Sep 2021

Sedex is a global organisation dedicated to driving improvements in ethical and responsible business practices across global supply chains. As one of the world’s leading organisations for helping companies manage responsible sourcing, we operate a collaborative online platform that allows our members to collect and share responsible sourcing data and identify risks in their supply chain. Our collaborative approach allows buyers and suppliers to share and exchange data, helping to better manage their social and environmental performance, and implement measures to protect people, the environment and their business.

We are looking for a new Chief Executive to join Sedex at a pivotal and transformational stage in our development. As we embark upon an ambitious new strategy to triple revenue over the next five years, you will have a crucial role to play in leading the organisation through a period of significant growth in what is a rapidly developing sector. The CEO will work in partnership with the board and executive leadership team to define the organisation’s strategic direction beyond 2023, ensuring we continue to meet the changing needs of our members while safeguarding the long-term growth, financial security, well-being and sustainability of Sedex, and by extension its wider stakeholders.

Candidates will be outstanding commercial and strategic leaders in organisations of comparable scale and complexity to Sedex, with the ambition, entrepreneurialism and focus to drive significant growth. Alive to the nuances of working with a wide range of international stakeholders, you will bring outstanding relationship management and influencing skills in a global multi-stakeholder context. While Sedex is a member-owned business, previous experience of leading or working within a membership organisation is not a prerequisite: more important is a track record of successful leadership in global – ideally platform – businesses undergoing rapid growth. You will be dynamic and diplomatic, with a strong heart for Sedex’s work to create transparency in global supply chains and make it simpler to do business that is good for everyone.

Saxton Bampfylde Ltd is acting as an employment agency advisor to Sedex on this appointment. For further information about the role, including details about how to apply, please visit www.saxbam.com/appointments using reference HARANI. Alternatively, telephone +44 (0)20 7227 0880 (during office hours). Applications should be received by noon on Wednesday 8 September 2021.

We believe every person working in the supply chain should have equality, a safe place to work, and the means to support themselves and their families, free of bribery and corruption, using sustainable methods that keep the environment intact for future generations.
