University College London is looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to take up post as Chair of Council from 1st October 2019. The Office of Chair of Council is a position of global prestige and stature. Internationally recognised for its radical and critical thinking, UCL is looking to appoint a Chair of Council who will ensure that innovation remains central to all that it does.

The appointed candidate will assist in supporting UCL’s 2034 Strategy with principal themes surrounding: academic leadership; integration of research and education; global challenges; accessibility and public engagement; internationalisation; and delivering global impact.

Candidates will demonstrate excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience of complex strategic issues at a comparable scale. They will demonstrate a strong affinity with UCL’s ethos and mission, as well as a commitment to higher education and public life. Personal integrity, collegiality and engagement with stakeholders at every level will be of the utmost importance.
