We are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to lead the Directorate of Marketing & Student Recruitment to provide inspirational leadership and act as a catalyst for a significant step-change across the University as we progress our ambitious new approach in these areas. The ideal candidate will be able to establish good relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and command the trust of a multi-disciplinary team.

Reporting to the University Secretary and working closely with the recently appointed Vice Principal (Student Recruitment) and Heads of School, the Director of Marketing & Student Recruitment will provide strategic management, vision and leadership to harmonise, integrate and enhance the University’s student recruitment and marketing functions. The Director will play a key role in enabling the delivery of our wider institutional strategy, the enhancement of our brand and reputation, and with particular regard to our international student recruitment ambitions.

The successful candidate will bring a distinguished record of successful leadership and effective operational management for a large multi-disciplinary team within a marketing and student recruitment function, with the demonstrable ability to promote a culture of excellence, innovation, continuous improvement and a willingness to embrace change.  Effective leadership in the development, delivery and review of marketing, brand awareness and student recruitment campaigns is central to success in this role. Significant experience of managing innovative digital marketing and student recruitment campaigns which can successfully reach and influence target audiences, nationally and internationally, is therefore essential.
