Amidst an exciting time of change at Wessex, with the appointment of a new CEO, the Board of Trustees are seeking to appoint a new Chair. The Chair will help to set the strategic direction of the organisation, lead the Board and support the mission of Wessex Archaeology. Candidates will bring strategic leadership experience to the role, an understanding of charity governance, commerciality and have a passion for archaeology, heritage and culture. The ideal candidate will have a style that encourages consensus, collaboration and ambition, as well as the ability to analyse and review complex issues and weigh up conflicting opinions, the ability to act as an ambassador and champion for Wessex Archaeology, a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, the highest standards of integrity and honesty, and a commitment to the Nolan Principles of Public Life.
