STEP change: supporting diverse leadership for the future

Now in its first year, STEP is a holistic coaching and career development programme for individuals from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds who are navigating a point of career transition. STEP offers participants access to an expert group of senior search consultants and coaches experienced in a broad range of sectors and leadership functions. Each participant is paired with a coach or mentor who has relevant experience of the sector and background to support the work that an individual would like to focus on.

We are delighted to share insights from four of the STEP coaches. We hear about what motivated them to become coaches and how more can, and should, be done to bring forward and support diverse leaders. They offer advice about what people should be looking for in coach and how to find the right one.
